Static damage is invisible: a circuit board can look perfect and still fail at the customer's line. Pink anti-static EPE foam lets charge dissipate instead of building up, so it is the standard cushioning for boards, displays, drives and electronic assemblies. We make it in sheets, rolls, pouches and die-cut trays.
Ordinary polyethylene foam can hold a static charge, and rubbing parts against it in handling builds that charge up. Anti-static foam contains an additive that lets the charge leak away slowly, so it does not discharge into a sensitive component.
The pink colour is the industry convention, so line operators can tell anti-static material from standard white foam at a glance.
Anti-static foam stops charge building up on the packaging itself. It does not block an outside electrical field. Components that need full electrostatic shielding should go in shielding bags first, with pink foam around them for cushioning and positioning. If you are unsure which your parts need, your component supplier's handling specification will say.
| Format | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Sheets | Layer pads and separators in cartons and bins |
| Rolls | Wrapping and interleaving on the line |
| Pouches | Individual modules, sensors and small assemblies |
| Die-cut trays | One cavity per unit, fixed count per layer |
| Thin gauge, from 0.85 mm | Light interleaving between boards and displays |
Yes. Our pink EPE carries an anti-static additive that dissipates charge, and is used for circuit boards, displays and drives.
No. Anti-static foam stops charge building up on the foam. It does not shield against an outside field. Use shielding bags where full shielding is required, with foam for cushioning.
Yes. We die-cut pink EPE trays from your drawing or a sample, and make a prototype within 48 hours.
From thin gauges of 0.85 mm for interleaving, up to thicker sheets and laminated trays.
Keep it in its wrapping, away from heat and direct sun, and use stock in rotation.
